How To Study The Bible
April 16, 6:30 pm - May 14 - 8:00 pm | South Campus
South Campus: Room 102
Wednesdays: April 16 – May 14
Have you ever tried to start a “Read through the Bible in a year” or so program? How did it go? If you are like a lot of people, you mean well and start well, but after a while, the reading can seem more like a chore rather than a devotion or an enriching experience with God. If that sounds like you, don’t worry. You are not alone. While there are many places where the Bible’s message is very simple, the Bible can be very challenging to unpack in others. In these sessions, “Introduction to How to Study the Bible,” we will first explore your initial thoughts and how you approach the Bible when you read it. Then, we will also provide some specific tools to help enrich your Bible study and get more out of it. Using some materials from WDA’s inductive Bible study, we will practice interpreting the Bible and how to apply it so that we will all come out of these sessions feeling more inspired to explore God’s word, more eager to hear the Holy Spirit speak through the word, and more encouraged to watch the LORD shape our character as we study His word.
