God the Deliverer and Building Courage to Step Out in Faith – Moses

April 10 6:30 - 8:00 pm  |  South Campus

Sometimes when we look around us, it feels like the world has gone mad. Oppression and injustice appear everywhere. If God is so good, then where is God in all of the madness? Exodus explores these very issues. In the midst of slavery, God hears the cries of his people, and He raises up a hero, Moses, to bring encouragement to the people. But like all of us, Moses has a troubled history of his own. He was raised in royalty, but he ultimately will be a murderer, and at first, a reluctant hero. If God can use someone like that, can He use me to deliver a community that is stuck in its own kind of slavery? In these sessions, we will explore the archaeology, the psychology, the history, and the literature in Exodus 1 through 12 to witness how God intervened to rescue and redeem His lost and enslaved people, and just like Moses, we will learn how to encourage and inspire one another to have the courage and faith to lead our families and communities out of the things that would try to enslave us all as well.
